Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Technician 1 position at CSIR-NAL, candidates must meet the following educational and age-related criteria:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed SSC/10th Standard or an equivalent examination with science subjects, securing a minimum of 55% marks. Additionally, they must possess an ITI certificate or a national/state trade certificate in the Fitter trade. Alternatively, candidates with 2 years of full-time experience as an apprentice trainee in the Fitter trade from a recognized institution, or 3 years of work experience in the Fitter trade in a government or public sector organization, are also eligible.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit should be 28 years as of 10th July 2025. Age relaxation for categories.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Technician 1 position will be based on the following:

Written Examination: Candidates will be required to appear for a written test assessing their technical knowledge and aptitude.
Trade Test: Shortlisted candidates from the written examination will undergo a trade test to evaluate their practical skills in the Fitter trade.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 2 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. The salary range is ₹19,900 – ₹63,200, with total emoluments approximately ₹38,500 per month. In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to various allowances and benefits as per CSIR-NAL norms.
